Christmas Eve Activities

UtahOutings wanted to take a few moments and wish you and yours a Merry Christmas, we hope you all have a happy and safe holiday season. We also wanted to detail our Christmas Eve traditions in hopes you might adopt a few for your own family.

  • Christmas Eve Presents – A tradition that was never allowed in my home growing up has been included in our family. We allow each member of the family to open just one present on Christmas Eve, we usually select something for the kids to open, sit back and just watch.
  • The Christmas Eve Meal – Make something or grab something on the way home, just spend some time as a family enjoying a meal together. I don’t know where how it began but we always seem to have a 7 layer bean dip, I guess it has red and green so it fit’s with Christmas.
  • Cookies for Santa – The little ones really like this one. Mom has the kids help, don’t forget something for the Reindeer, we hear carrot or two good. Santa always likes a little note as well.
  • Twas The Night Before Christmas – This has been a tradition in my family, no matter where we all were my Dad always read this story to his kids. Sometimes we even had it read to us over the phone, it’s the last thing the kids do before they head to bed.

Merry Christmas from all of us at UtahOutings.
