Hutchings Museum

On Lehi’s Family Week, we went to the Hutchings Museum in downtown Lehi, mostly because we heard it was free, and it was.

They have quite a collection of rocks, crystals, animals, bones, fossils and war and old west memorabilia.  It’s definitely worth a trip if you find your youngsters in a pinch for something to entertain.  They also run puppet show, which the kids loved (they threw out candy, right?).

I felt safe letting my kids run around and explore – they have several “hands on” exhibits at just the right height.  My favorite part was the authentic jail cells that were actually used by Lehi city back in the day.

On our way out they told us that they were free on Saturdays as well, so I think we’ll visit again in a couple of months.
