With New Years right around the corner we wanted to provide a few ideas for you and your family. If your willing to venture outside, the largest event in the state has to be First Night. First Night is an incredible celebration in down town Salt Lake. Activities include ice skating, dancing, fireworks, new years countdown event, music, and food. More information about First Night can be found here, or tickets can be purchased at Albertsons for $8.00 in advance or $10.00 during the event. We opt out for the outdoor events as we have small children, however we have heard it’s a blast.
Many stay at home activities are also fun for new years. Traditional events include board games and large dinners to celebrate a year gone by. New Years Eve provides an excellent time to gather the family together to plan 2009. We often let everyone write down things they want to do in the new year or ways the want become better. Watching movies as a family and just spending time with one another are also worthwhile activities. We at UtahOutings wish you a happy and safe new year.
